The McCall Initiative Episodes 1-3
Whip-smart and laser-focused, Piper’s never had a shred of doubt about her talent for medicine. She won’t let anything stop her from becoming a doctor. Not the bullies who’ve written her off as a nerdy know-it-all, not the death of her beloved father, and certainly not the secession that transformed her Pacific Northwest home into the nation of Cascadia.
But when her family disappears and she’s branded a criminal, Piper’s future is flatlined in a heartbeat. Driven into hiding, she learns that wealthy American climate refugees have been buying their way across Cascadia’s closed border. Even more sinister, someone is deporting the nation’s poor to make room for them. If Piper is ever to see her family again, she’ll have to rally every scrap of her battered grit to decipher who’s behind the disappearances. But those responsible will stop at nothing to protect their secrets, and Piper’s only hope may be the very boy whose family displaced her own. The McCall Initiative is a story told in serial form. If you’re a fan of edge-of-your-seat dystopian thrillers with a twist of romance, you’ll love Lisa Nowak’s glimpse at a future that’s all too plausible. Great for fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Legend. Includes episodes 1-3 (Deception, Revelation, Conspiracy) of the first season of The McCall Initiative.

The McCall Initiative Episode 11
Piper knows exactly what she wants out of life and how to get it. That’s the one thing that hasn’t changed since her family was snatched away to an American sweatshop by Cascadia’s usurping vice president. But now that she and her friends have thwarted an assassination attempt, performed life-saving surgery, and led a revolution, she’s discovering just how much those experiences have transformed her. For one thing, she’s learned to trust Logan with her heart. For another, she’s finally become a team player. But she’s also developed a deep and unbreakable bond with President Cooper, and while that’s mostly a good thing, there’s no denying that the responsibility she feels for him is also a profound burden.
Piper’s friends, her mentor, and even the president have said it’s time to stop worrying about him and focus on herself. But after holding his life in her hands, Piper can’t imagine how she’d do that. Worse, she may not have much say in the matter. As rescue plans come together, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: in order to regain her family, Piper might have to abandon her friendship with President Cooper altogether. Episode 11, a full-length book, is the first installment of Season 2 of The McCall Initiative.

The McCall Initiative Episode 12
After four long months, Piper’s on her way to rescue her family from FreedomCorp, accompanied by an elite team assembled by President Cooper. But with Logan’s father responsible for her family’s deportation, Piper faces a disturbing dilemma. What if the return to normal life she’s desperately awaiting means the end of her relationship with the only boy she’s ever loved?
President Cooper faces his own challenge with Piper and Logan gone. His PTSD, barely manageable under the best circumstances, has spiraled out of control. Now he’s questioning whether he has any business remaining in office. And he’s not the only one. Though Sarto has disappeared, his co-conspirators are determined to see the president unseated. It’s when the rescue mission concludes, however, that the real trouble begins. Its repercussions threaten not just Cooper, Piper, and Logan—but the entire nation of Cascadia. And unless the president can overcome his traumas, no one will have a chance at peace. Episode 12, a full-length book, is the second installment of Season 2 of The McCall Initiative.
